hey folks!
i'm moving back to sheffield next year! yay!
some of my old pals are still about, but i'll probably need to make a few new friends too? kinda hoping that, if i make a few useful contacts across the next few months, then perhaps it'll be easier to find a house / housemates when i'm ready to make the move
me:
i'm 46 and i'm a guy
when i lived in sheffield, i was in a few different bands. been making music by myself for the last few years, but it'd be ace to be in a group again! genres-wise, i'm mostly into post-rock and post-punk, but i also like jangly indie / dreampop, IDM, alt-country, and neo-classical
i'm into films, so say hi if you're a film nerd. i'm into american indies, french new wave, british kitchen sink, hollywood blockbusters... definitely not a snob! i used to work in the showroom in the 2000s, so, if you were a showroom customer circa 2004, i may have made you a bad cappuccino
though i was kicked out of art school, i kinda want to get into screenprinting / digital design... so if that's summat you know about, introduce yourself! some amateur theatre shenannigans would also be a lark!
other stuff: fell running, bouldering, hiking, cycling, hanging out in cafes, eating pies
i'm looking at living around nether edge / meersbrook, as there's quite a few resources around there that i might enjoy (swimming pool, bouldering centre, woods n' parks, cafes...)... but ecclesall, broomhill, crookes, walkley, and hillsborough are all places i'd consider too
tah!
