I already got placed in Endcliffe for my uni accomodations but right when I ask all the people I know, they are saying I am fucked just because the long 20 mins walk to the campus and it is gonna be even longer and tiring over time because of harsh weather. Just to let you know, I am starting my first year. Is Endcliffe really that inconvenient for a student compared to city center where it is just a quick walk as my friends say? I just got to Sheffield like 3 days ago and I have not checked out much though.
Yeah 20 minutes is nothing, it's just long enough to get you properly woken up before your classes. Endcliffe is a lovely area, full of students so student life, it's got The Edge where some events are held, and at the end of the day it's only for your first year so you'll know the city much better when you figure out where to live for 2nd year etc.
Get a decent raincoat and good shoes and you're sorted.
