Hi people, just wanted to give everyone a heads up about your emails with Shaw. I do not recommend using an email provided by your ISP (Internet Service Provider) your email is super important in the case of 2024 and when you switch your ISP you can/will lose access to your @shaw.ca email. If you can try and merge or migrate over to a @gmail.com or @outlook.com or if you really need to switch ISP’s and wanna keep your email get your address transferred to a friends account. ISP emails are also less safe and less reliable. I’m speaking on behalf of many who’ve lost their email and valuable information and accounts requiring verification. IMPORTANT NOTE: It’s also important to note with the latest purchase of Shaw by Rogers may have an impact on the @shaw.ca email address as Rogers may later decide to retire the Shaw Webmail service. Shaw is also not offered in addition and is limited to certain provinces moving may crate the inability to access Shaw services such as new rent agreements that may use Telus or their own service or not be supported in an area. It also appears Shaw has removed the ability to access your email via a monthly subscription which would allow you to move ISP’s without having to worry about losing information.
