Major issue with Shaw tech support

Hi Shaw,

I just wanted to say I'm very annoyed with the blue curve modem. Without expressing rage at this. I hate smart phones. I don't use them. But I'm screwed because you won't let me log into my modem to change the advanced settings. I'm told when talking to your tech support that I can't access those settings from anywhere but your stupid app.

  • No instant feedback
  • Manually have to enter all the info via a touch screen
  • No on the fly changes as needed
  • No access without a smartphone
  • If your wifi is don't you can't fix the modem!

I get you wanting people to use your app but the fact that you block me from using the modem you forced me to use is ridiculous. Its very limiting in it's ability to change the settings of my modem.

I have used Shaw for 20 years. But I think I might have to find a new ISP that allows us power users to control our hardware. I'll be filing a complaint with the CRTC for restricting access to the internet by not allowing me to change my modem settings.
