Questions about WiFi Pod(s) for use with XB7
Post Body

I'm looking for information to advise my slightly paranoid techno-illiterate upstairs neighbour/landlord when he returns from his trip in a week or two, and since I don't have full account access asking Shaw directly will probably being extra annoying.
Also, their website seems designed to spoonfeed minimal useful information.

We have what I understand to be the Bluecurve XB7 gateway (label on the back says model TG4482).

I'd like to know what are the various wifi extender "pods" available to best function with this?
(i.e. are there model options to be aware of, and which is the least terrible?)

The website implies in one place, that pods come in packs of three, but the little I could find about pricing gave a price for a single unit.
So which is it, 3 packs, or a single unit, or are both options?

I'm not terribly interested in trying to convince him to rent at $10/mo.
However, the only actual purchase price I can find on the site is the new user price.
Does anyone know the actually non-introductory pricing options, and can you share it with me?

Finally, while I thank anyone and everyone in advance for any time, attention, or help, I am aware that these pods are not the best option and I will considering other options (however, he's an odd person and an anti-geek, so every other option involves greater grief).
Giving me alternate suggestions or generally telling me how terrible they are will not be helpful. And I've already read a bunch of these opinions, so please save yourself the trouble.

Thanks again for any responses!
