To anyone who owns both: How does a shapton kuromaku 220 compare to an india stone?

I am curious to try the shapton, as I have never tried any of shapton's course stones. However, I won't purchase it if it doesn't cut and remove metal any better than an india stone. I'd also be happy to consider the 120 or 320.
