After carving a much needed replacement spoon for myself I had definitely done some dulling to my trusty companion. Using the stones I had found in the garden for sanding the wooden spoon, I had a basically found and graded them coarse - light grey - medium - red ish - fine - dark grey, I used some water and the last two stones to touch back up the convex edge on the knife. Whilst not the easiest as the stones liked to wobble a bit, it wasn’t that hard to get back to thin phone book paper cutting sharp on a convex grind.
The knife is an old customised / modded BK11 (actually the BK21 in D2) with just an amazing heat treat sheathed to perfection in a Wolfwind Leather Works sheath.
oh come on at least lap the stones to get em flat first.
