So I've been sharpening my straight razor for a while and feel pretty good about my results. I've been using lapping film stuck to a tile and I'm ready to get away from that money pit. I'd prefer to not need to flatten if that is possible. The shapton ceramic I believe only needs flattened once? I also hand sharpen my pocket and fixed blades and if the stone can get me a mirror finish on those that would be great but if not I need the straight razor stones as of now. I use a sharpal 162n 350 1200 diamond plate for my knives would that work as a flattening stone? I'm trying to stay as budget as possible. The strop I've been using came with one of those scam see sets off Amazon so if any known budget friendly option is available that information would also be greatly appreciated.
