[Question] Page Viewer to file share, IE Mixed Mode Prompt

Post Body

This feels like an old bike for a niche disconnected use case:

Would like to use the Page View web part to create some tailored pages to specific file locations on network share. However, it throws IE mixed mode errors... how can i get rid of that?

Was tinkering with policy and adding rules to not prompt mixed mode on trusted sites and adding the path to the list but doesn't seem to work (is that even possible, or does this only work for http?) i.e. file://server/folder/folder* or file://server*.

---

I'd rather not set mixed mode to 'enabled' rather targeted white listing for the share, etc.. Also, don't really want to turn this into an external search effort.

...found a few refs but admittedly a dated approach and nothing had the right answer:
