Hey dudes, anyone see this shit before:

1 Site Collection (that I know of), several WFEs that I can isolate traffic with. OOTB approval work fine (subscribe/register and run). Custom Designer workflows publish from SPDesigner without error:

• WFE B - The workflows show as associated to the list from the browser, first run creates columns, instances fail with "failed on start" and "fail on run" errors. Eventually (within an hour) the workflows will unpublish themselves.

• WFE A& C - post designer publish, they never show in the browser... as a bonus in this scenario the act of publishing UNpublishes already published 2010 Custom ones (leave the ootb approval alone).

...have a config cache reset on the books for tonight... but again it's only 1 site collection (and all webs/subsites, lists and libraries within it) with the issue. other web apps and SCs on the same web app are fine.
