Distributed Cache/AppFabric Caching Service Issues

I'm having an issue where the AppFabric Caching Service is cycling on and off. I'm getting the following Error events:

Application: DistributedCacheService.exe
Framework Version: v4.0.30319
Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
Exception Info: System.TimeoutException

Faulting application name: DistributedCacheService.exe, version:         1.0.4632.0, time stamp: 0x4eafeccf
Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 6.3.9600.18340, time    stamp: 0x57366075
Exception code: 0xe0434352

This started when someone accidently changed the password of managed account this service runs as. I entered the new password in Central Admin, as well as in the Services.msc window (Which I now know from googling was a horrible idea on my part.)

Does anyone have any ideas of things I can try? Reading about it has me fearing I'm going to have to completely rebuild the farm.
