XSL link for list view links to open in new tab...?

2013 ent on prem... no design view (waaaa)
Anyone have skillz to help out with the script/syntax to format list view xsl and have links open in a new tab (guessing it configures it for a href target:_blank vs target:_Self.
found some nifty java script to stick in a CEWP/Script editor under it (which worked) but it through an error on page load in firefox :/
