Ok so I'm trying to have a discussion/request [read: case pleading argument] to the Farm Admins of my environment to lower the Cache Date for visio down from the default of 5 minutes to 1 or 3.
So here's a couple references
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262787(v=office.15).aspx#Visio
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff805058.aspx
The min max for the value is 0-24 hours. Basically this setting restricts how often visio diagrams on pages can be refreshed/calculated, not matter what you set the part or page refresh to.
OK, so, fellas/gals: does anyone have an experience in lowering the setting or good references i can throw at them? I mean come on, i can make data views or nut so java-script parts that hammer the farm far more then a 1 min visio diagram. note they could compensate the change by lowering the size of the diagrams allowed also.
Thanks!
