I have never worried about lag in this game. Since I start reading about it I take lag for granted and an issue I have to live with. However I don't know WHY it lags so much. Right now in my map I have like about ten factories for essential shapes (upgrade shapes), all very well compacted and optmised, modular, etc... As good as you can think of. Besides that there is only my MAM which is also compact, modular and optimised. With all that I checked my performance yesterday for the first time and my game is working at just 7 frames per second, which is absurdly low specially thinking that my computer can deal with games like Cities Skylines or Satisfactory with barely any lag or problem.

This game is GREAT, but what's wrong with it regarding performance? What's the fundamental issue? And can we as users do something about it?
