2 Week trip budget + must do’s?

Going to Shanghai end of this year with a close friend that has family living there. Fortunately for me and the kindness of the family I’ll have accomodation, majority of food and transportation covered. With this in mind do you think a AUD 3k budget (with flights) for 2 weeks is a safe option?
Would also love to hear some must do’s there as I really wanna experience all parts of what this beautiful city has to offer.
