Are the ten rings parallel universes?

When Wong had the rings on the table in the mid credit scene, he had an exploded view of them. Did anyone else think they looked like “time loops” or “parallel universe time lines?” There is some relation to the ten rings in the movie and the quantum bands in the comics so maybe the rings are drawing power from other universes? Thoughts?
