Which subplot would you delete and it won’t affect the storyline?
Post Body

Ian’s “Gay Jesus” subplot is extremely weird and I am struggling to see how this helps in anyone’s character development.

What else subplot do you think is unnecessary??

I actually thought Lip's big fall from grace was quite a realistic, if depressing, portrayal that intelligence alone won't save you from devastating addiction/it's incredibly difficult to escape your circumstances

Ian absolutely could have had a med slip, meltdown, and subsequent arrest in a million infinitely more believable ways/without the obnoxious forced gay rights pandering. (Before you get heated I'm also gay and bipolar lmao) It was so tokenizing, circusy and nonsensical and made me actively dislike Ian

Makes sense, it did feel like they were initially trying to set something up with Fiona and her lesbian tenant!

That's arguably another plot hole in the Gay Jesus storyline lol
