Changeling players idea "I want to be a real human"

So I have a chanceling in my group which knows that he is a changeling. The players idea is that his character "want's to be a real human"
And now I'm thinking about a cool idea. We are currently playing the tales from the demon lord campaign and my thought was to let the characters find the fey spell which creates changelings....and then they find out that it's impossible since afaik changelings don't have a "soul" to beginn with...but that's kinda sad :-/
Any other cool ideas?
