Post Body

First time playing either game and I thought I was decent. While playing on normal difficulty, I didn't have any trouble playing through acts I&II. As soon as I got to act III the script was flipped. Im really bad at defending my fortresses and can tell within the first wave or 2 if im going to succeed. I have successfully defended 2/5 fortresses and it doesn't look like I'm figuring it out any time soon.

Reading through this sub, I realize there is so much I don't know. Many of the comments I can't even follow, because I don't know what they're referring to.

What are some high level, easy to follow ways that I can increase my odds of defending my fortresses?

I know you'll need more Information to give a better answer, so please ask and I'll provide.

I always have the max warlords, with additional defenses. I always try to dominate enemy captions and make them stay and fight with me. I notice that no matter how many allies I have at the first capture point, they all seem to get overrun at somepoint. Even if I stay and fight with them, they all bleed out. Do I try to help them, or keep my distance and try to better defend the next capture points? Do I eliminate the enemy seige machines right away?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
