Looking to take a 2 night vacation somewhere within 2-3 hour driiving from sgv. Family friendly ideas, we have a 2,3 and 10 year old.

Any specific hotel recommendations?

Update: Thanks for all the recommendations. We decided on Santa Barbara. We will go to the SB zoo, beach, explore near our hotel, Solvang, the ostrich farm and my husband wants to eat at Cold Spring Tavern.

I LOVE Kernville! Beat the heat and go to the cold icy river. Theres a lot of hotels and vacation rentals around. The small town has a little shopping, good good, ice cream shop and other little things. There's a couple of hotels with pools.
