I promised u/glenn1812 that I would snap some photos of the MSI GeForce RTX 4080 Ventus 3X card fitting into a Dan A4-H2O case, this being one of the few 4080/4090 cards that can fit.
Not going to lie ... for 20 minutes I thought "it won't fit", but then suddenly it does, with a couple of millimeters to spare.
I'm awaiting a custom moddiy triple 4 4 --> 12VHPWR 16 pin cable, until then I only had two short, custom pslate 4 4 pin cables so ended up having to buy a spare off Amazon in preparation for the card arriving, which was far too long and required folding the conversion adapter. As a result, there's far too much cable in there and it'll definitely be easier wiring it up with custom cabling. Without the removable bottom plate on the H2O you'd be screwed on making the connect.
Overall the card runs very well (so far) ... fans don't go crazy and temps are well under control. The triple fan on the MSI card are really something; you can feel the air getting sucked in when holding it on the GPU side of the case.
Any questions please ask.
Very cool dude!
I’m still waiting on my motherboard but to make preparations I contacted “Cablester” on Etsy for my cables. He does cables for the A4 h2o and does a 12vhpwr cable too which will make life so much easier with managing cables and bringing down temps too.
