This is fresh, like it happened just last night. I was hanging out with a close friend, someone I’ve known forever, who’s always been in that “friend zone” space... until now.

We were at his place, just chilling after grabbing some takeout and watching Netflix. It was super casual, like it’s always been, but I started noticing the way he was looking at me. Not in the usual, friendly way—this was... different.

At first, I brushed it off, thinking it was just in my head. But as the night went on, the tension between us became impossible to ignore. We were sitting close on the couch, and I swear, every time he laughed or leaned closer, I felt my heart race.

Eventually, I don’t even know how it happened, but our faces were inches apart. He reached out, brushing a strand of hair behind my ear, and before I could think about it, his lips were on mine.
