Can someone please help me with my Lelo Hugo 2 Remote?

I press both the plus and minus sign down for 3 seconds to turn it on, yet the only thing that happens is a orange light turns on. After this light turns off I've tried to use the middle button to turn on my Hugo 2 but nothing happens. I can't get it to work without absolutely blasting my ass right off the get go.
Any tips would be appreciated :)
