• Do you usually hang out and then have sex?
• Or just plan date/time for sex, separate to platonic hangouts?
• What can I do to help the transition from friends to FWB physically?

Context:

I’ve had a guy friend for 3 years now, been best friends for a year. Both of us in late 20s.

In the past few months, we’ve sent a lot of dirty jokes via text but always platonic dinner catchups. Then we had pretty candid chats about sex generally (I’m open about my horniness and he had lots of questions about the female POV). This led him to ask last week, if he could be a FWB. I said yes and we laid some ground rules via text.

(Neither of us have had FWB before but we don’t want to date each other, and we’re fully aware of risk of someone catching feels)

Tonight was the first time we hung out since that chat, and we agreed beforehand to see how things go post dinner.

Had dinner and went to his place for the first time. Played a talking card game including topics of sex and relationships.

He didn’t give me any clues to break physical barrier though Eg. He would be on his phone lying in his bed and no hint to invite me to join. I felt a bit awkward to initiate and eventually he reminded me I should head home as it’s late.
