Sex Toys (material) Allergic?

Hello, this is a bit of a weird question. Whenever I get in contact with sex toys (silicon or latex), I get a weird taste in my mouth, but I haven't put anything in my mouth or touched my lips on anything. I don't know if it's the smell of the item or contact with the skin. The taste happens automatically and is metallic-soupy. Is it an allergic reaction?
