I'm an adequately healthy man getting over a dry spell and there is something odd I'd notice. I'd feel my erection go away during sex, like pushing rope, but my partner would still be enjoying the process so I'd keep going until they were done. But this last time it finally became clear, I hadn't lost my erection, I just wasn't feeling anything during penetration (no condom btw). I know I've always been on the less sensitive side, and had struggles with ED and depression med side effects. But this just felt like a new low. That I could be in the middle of sex and not able to tell. What's worse is realizing I guess it's always been like this, I just didn't realize. If I'm ever able to climax it's great, but most of the process getting there is kind of thankless, even solo.
I'm seeing some doctors about it but I'd appreciate if anyone can weigh in on how common this is. Most relevant information is about people who can't get erections, I haven't found anything about not being able to do anything with one.
