Does sex feel empowering/liberating to you?

Even as a straight male, I (28M) get puzzled when ppl say that sex should feel empowering, because I’ve found it the opposite. Being completely naked, judged for your body and performance, possibility of bad smells, the other person having a degree of power/control over you in the moment, sometimes I feel trapped and uncomfortable.
For those who feel differently, how would you describe your mindset or mental process? How could this be worked on?
