I'm 42. And I've recently been dealing with ED and softer erections than I'm used to. All of this obviously has stressed me out a bunch and caused me to do a lot of reading about men's health and working on my health in general. (I've been very sedentary, have elevated cholesterol and blood pressure, wasn't been using my CPAP for sleep apnea) Since then, I'm now back on CPAP and have been working on my exercise and trying to watch my diet. I've made some progress since March when things were really bad and I was really stressed. But I'm still a ways away from what is "normal." Obviously, I know things tend to change as we get older and we can't totally expect to be what we were when we were 19.
One thing I've read is that men in their 40s is something like:
"You can usually get a pretty good quality erection, but it now often requires touch stimulation. The gravity-defying erections donβt have quite the angle they used to. At times you may lose the erection before the sexual act is completed.
I seem to meet this characterization right now. Would this be because men in their 40s tend to be less active, more sedentary, and are experiencing dropping testosterone and stuff like that? I'm hoping to bounce back to some better erections as I continue to exercise, get better sleep, and hopefully drop the cholesterol and blood pressure soon.
