Recently back on the market... how do you do oral sex and safe sex at the same time? Does anyone actually use protection with oral?

My understanding is that many STDs are transmitted from genital to mouth (and vice versa) just as easily as from genital to genital.
I've heard of dental dams, but I don't think I've ever actually met someone who's used them.
I feel like it's also not a very fair issue from a gender perspective. I'm a guy and will cum easily enough from PIV, but most women will not. I want my ladies to cum, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to take the risk with unprotected oral.
Anyone else relate to this? What do yall do?
