Question about drive
Post Body

My wife (31F) and I (31M) have a 14 month old toddler. Before our daughter was born, we'd average having sex about 4-5 times a week. Ever since my wife healed from her c-section and pelvic floor trauma (about 7 months ago), we've been having sex once per week. This isn't a "why won't she fuck me more" post; we're both fine with the current frequency and our relationship is solid. It's hard to find the time/energy to have sex while raising a toddler without any family nearby, but we both understand and agree that maintaining a healthy sex life is an important part of a relationship. My question relates to my own sex drive.

I used to masturbate once per week to porn but stopped about 4 months ago because I felt like it messed with my dopaminergic system and I thought it was unhealthy to have porn use occur at the same or higher frequency than sex with my wife. Ever since, I have no desire to masturbate. I don't feel depressed or overly anxious and am healthy (6'1", 180 lbs, exercise 5-6 times per week and eat healthy foods). For curiosity's sake, a few times recently I've masturbated to my own imagination and simply focusing on sensations. During these sessions I'm able to get aroused and orgasm quickly if I want to; I also find it difficult to last more than a few minutes during sex much in the same way that used to happen in my pre-baby life if I waited more than a couple days to have sex/masturbate. I almost never feel the urge, but once I consciously choose to do these things I get going and am happy I did.

I guess I just don't understand why my drive feels so dormant. I used to take SSRIs many years ago but this is completely different. While taking SSRIs I had barely any drive and found it difficult to get hard and then orgasm. Now, I feel little drive but have no difficulty getting hard/orgasming. Has anyone else been in a similar situation or dealt with similar feelings? I'm not super upset about this, although I would like to last longer in bed and above all I'd love to feel that strong drive.

Thank you for reading; I appreciate any thoughts you all might have.
