Hubby and I have been together for 17 years. We're an open and somewhat adventurous couple, but I realized earlier today that we've never watched porn together. We've shared clips here and there, but never sat down and watched a full scene.

So I asked if he wanted to, and he's game, but now I'm lost - how do we watch it? On our phones? The laptop? Chromecast it? I can't remember the last time I've seen porn that wasn't on my phone or projected on a wall at a kinky party.

Further, I don't watch porn for arousal...it gets me in the mindset more than the mood, if that makes any sense. The only type of content that can get me there is cunnilingus, from specific angles. Otherwise, I'm really just watching for fun. One of the reasons that we're open is because our kinks don't really line up, so I'm also worried that we're going to have trouble finding something that we both enjoy. I know he likes rough, gagging stuff, but that gives me the ick. I'm into sensual dominantion and public stuff, things he is historically averse to performing.

Have any of you tried it? What normally happens? How do you decide what to watch?! Should I expect sex? I kinda just want it to be intimate time to learn about what we each like because I'm not anticipating being turned on.

Here's what I'll say of the experience - it made him horny, not me. We chose a few scenes, nothing with any plot or real dialogue. We had sex after, it was okay. I think we could have spent more time figuring out what to watch, that may have been better for me. I just said OK to whatever he was interested in. I'm truly uninterested in most scenes, it seems. Just boring, uninspired people bumping uglies is not enough for me.

Honestly? I don't know that we're going to make this a regular thing. But it was a nice experience that we'll try again soon.
