Why is it that everyone's advice to a man in a sexless marriage (sex 5 times or less a years for the last 6 years) is always to talk to your partner about it? It doesnt help in most cases. In my case and the the cases of several support group guys I know, our wives could really care less which keaves us all powerless to do anything about the situation except get divorced. None of these advice articles, couples therapists, or support groups discus what you are supposed to do when the other partner genuinely doesn't care and doesn't feel that they need to change because they don't think they should do something they don't want to.
Being in a state with banned porn, being married to a wife content with no sex (and the twice a year it happens she puts no effort in. It's just to shut me up) too old and ugly to find someone new or open the relationship, and too broke to afford decent hookers. I am told time and time again to just deal with it.
Be more romantic. That didn't help for years. She lived how sweet and romantic things were, but saw that as something I should be doing because I WANT to and sex wasn't a a reward or activity she felt was needed.
Communication. She shuts down any conversation on the subject.
Just leave. Easy to say when you aren't in a 20 year marriage with all your Financials tied together.
Cheat. See above. I'm old, ugly, and poor.
Just frustrating that a decision was made for the rest of my life and I had no say and no negotiation on whether I was okay with it. Not looking to have people to talk shit, I just needed to vent somewhere so that I'm not going home and blowing up there.
Thanks for listening to my bullshit
