I did some searching and found conflicting answers. Do use alcohol-based mouthwash, then I read don't use mouthwash. (Would hydrogen peroxide work since my mouthwash is alcohol-free?) Another result said to drink water to flush germs into your stomach where the acid takes care of them.
I read not to floss or brush teeth shortly beforehand, as they could create cuts that germs enter.
I thought I felt ready, and then I do some reading with the goal of finalizing. All it does it make me feel scared/nervous because of the risk. I know everything has associated risk, but I get so paralyzed at the thought of an STI.
