The recent post about the girl who had to pretend to avoid being forcefully raped had me wondering what the community thinks about the current resources available for domestic and sexual violence victims? Are there areas that are lacking? I've seen on twitter some women in universities are taking it upon themselves to create their own group chats dedicated to informing each other about problematic people. Obviously reporting people and speaking to the police helps on some level (sometimes) but I also understand there are victims who feel unable to report their offenders, who feel trapped in their situations no matter what they may be. Those people are valid as well, but I think making resources more obvious could go a long way to making victims feel more confident that they aren't alone and there is help for them out there.
