I'm guessing this has been posted before but I'll just go through with it.

I think I've finally realized I'm afraid to have sex.

I know I shouldn't be considering some other life experiences I've had where I wasn't afraid. A lot of it came from an ex who pressured me a whole lot into it when I wasn't comfortable (we never did have sex and they didn't force me into anything) Also a few other times when people have fetishized me being a virgin that made me really uncomfortable.

I have read plenty of stories of people saying you will know when you are ready but I just don't know when that will be? I'm close to turning 30 and feel a little ridiculous saying that I've never had sex and I'm afraid to do it. Just curious about others experiences since a lot of times people seem to be really excited or wanting to have sex before hand when I feel the opposite way.
