Bad at initiating

So (M26) I haven’t been in many actual relationships. But I’m crazy in love with my current girlfriend (F24)and have been since day one but where we struggle (me particularly) is when it come to sex. We have amazing sex when we do have it but I have no idea how to initiate it and always feel weird when I try to. The majority of my experience has come from drunken hookups. So I’ve never been an initiator really. I want to be more confident about it but I really don’t know how.
