Danger of stis from anal with a guy?

I’ve always just thought of myself as straight. However at 27, there is a sense of fear that I won’t lose it in my 20s (fear how I won’t be as flexible, slim when older).

I began talking to a guy (27M) who is gay who is attracted to me and even said I could go to his place any weekend. He said he only had 2 prior partners and gets tested every 3 months, always tested negative. He also says he takes a daily pill to prevent HIV.

However I worry how if he’s taking that, then if I’m intimate with him I might also have to go on pills or something. Honestly do feel part of why I’m debating this is because I’m uncomfortable with questioning my sexuality but I am also concerned that man on man sex is more likely to lead to HIV/AIDS than straight sex.
