im (18m) confused about my hygiene, i had a talk with some of my friends about hygiene for sex and they told me i was doing way too much.

so the thing is personally im a virgin and don’t talk to any girl for the moment, but my friends have an active sexual life and we started talking about hygiene for sex, and we ended up asking each other what was our hygiene routine.

so i said that i was shaving my balls and pubic hair once a week (so im always shaved) and that i was keeping my chest, armpits and ass shaved, and they said that it was kinda useless bcuz i wasn’t with a girl or having sex they said to me that they were shaving only when they would have sex.

personally i like my hygiene i always feel clean, so i would need some opinions am i the one doing too much or are they weird
