Before you ask, this is not post nut clarity as I myself am a woman. My husband is religious and there is this 2 week period right now where he asks we abstain from sex due to some auspicious time period. There are a couple of holidays as well, but this period sticks out in the year because it’s followed by a bunch of other auspicious days.

We have been married for almost 9 years and each year I’ve always respected this. However in our relationship, I am more demanding of sex and I need some kind of pleasure daily. During this period, I usually just masturbate, and he has said he is fine with that. However, I’ve recently started to feel guilty. This current time period he practices is related to one’s ancestors, and when I masturbated today, my mind just started thinking about how what I was doing was “disrespectful” in some way.

I am not religious, but when I thought this way, I instantly just felt turned off. What do I do about this? I just feel bad now, and unlike my usual self, it’s really killed my libido because I feel so guilty pleasuring myself.
