Do any mail-in STD test companies send out physical results in the mail, or is he lying about being tested?

I have been sleeping with a new guy who told me he had been tested in January and hadnt been with anyone since. The first time we did it I was drunk and took his word for it, but later I asked if he could show me his results but he said he took a mail-in kit and they mailed him the results and he had lost them. Does this sound plausible, or is he probably lying?

We use condoms, but the most recent time I had used Monistat 3 about 2 days prior which I learned could weaken condoms. He didn't finish and there was no visible breakage or leakage, but I am still concerned.
