I (29f) have always wanted to go to a sex party, but I have HSV1 vaginally. I always tell people this before I hook up with them and that I take anti-virals daily, haven't had an outbreak since I got it in 2022 and between me taking anti-virals and us using protection, the chance of transmission is 1%. Some guys are fine with it, and others aren't. I've had to get comfortable over time with being told "no," but I've also been pleasantly surprised by how many guys are okay with it.

So this brings me to my question...can I go to a sex party? I'll obviously tell any person I'm about to hook up with about my status and let them make their decision. But is it faux pas to even attend a sex party if you have an STI? I'm not so worried about being told "no" because I'm sure I'll still get people saying "yes." But I worry that people will tell me that I shouldn't have even come to the party because you shouldn't attend one if you have an STI.
