Disclaimer: I am a male (probably relevant here)
I am on date 3 with a new Romantic partner, and I’m pretty sure we’re at that point where sex is anticipated.
I have only been with 3 long term partners. I tested negative for every STD as of about a year ago, and have only been in 1 monogamous relationship over the last decade.
But! I know that I have contracted the low-risk form of HPV in my life due to having had genital warts, which were cryogenically treated. Generally, HPV is not detected in common STD panels for males, so I don’t know about exposure to other strains. What’s crazy is my last partner and I had unprotected sex for almost a decade and she never tested positive for HPV in any Pap test.
Nevertheless, I feel the need to disclose this information to my new romantic partner. How can this be done honestly and tactfully? Should I just share what I have already shared here?
