Asking because I noticed one less condom in my BF's night stand and we don't use condoms (monogamous, std tested and I'm sterile). BF said he used one to masturbate as and that he does that on a very rare occasion like once or twice a year, because it feels different, and something about the grip and slide but no idea what he really means or if he is being honest. He didn't mention it was studded, I noticed that myself when opening one to check what they're like today. I have a key to his place, he introduced me to his family and overall didn't think he would do something like cheating but I am having doubts about a guy choosing to masturbate with a condom, it's super weird and sounds shady to me. Studded condoms sound like meant for vaginal pleasure, not penis pleasure, so why would he use one to jerk off?

Could there be more that he is not telling me that doesn't involve cheating? Like, could he have some kind of issue or deficiency?

Also, to add, he's had these few condoms laying around for months in his night stand, from before we started dating, so he had them there for a while (but they expire in 2 years). He did not purposely buy new condoms that I'm now finding out about.
