Alternate for hook and eye?

I have a bridesmaid dress that fits great but the hook and eye clasp is not working out. It’s cheap and somehow pulling and also unhooking at the same time 🙄
I was considering just adding a handful of stitches since the dress doesn’t need to come on and off through the day but if anyone has suggestions for an alternate clasp or better idea please send my way!
The zipper ends with 2-3cm of unzippered fabric that absolutely needs a clasp or stitches or something to hold it together at the top.
