Question about adding MSG to General Tso's Chicken (or other dishes)

I've made Kenji's General Tso's Chicken a few times (recipe) and each time it's been amazing.
I wanted to try making it again while incorporating MSG, but I've never cooked with it before. Anyone have any idea how to best add it to this sort of recipe? My guess would be to replace some of the salt in the batter with some of the MSG.
