This show has had some ups and downs in accuracy (par for the course really, more the "experts" getting details wrong here and there, nothing terribly egregious) but a lot of fascinating info on some lesser-known serial killers, and really well worth a watch. The expert talking heads are some familiar faces (some of whom don't really seem credible), but the info that's presented by the actual narrator is decent. Another thing, for some reason, they have a ton of unedited/unredacted crime scene photos, some of which were new to me. Even just the historical background photo inserts were things I hadn't stumbled across (like the H.H. Holmes family photos) in any of my research. Entirely plausible that there are some stock filler photos, but some of the crime scene ones were obviously authentic, and not often seen.
They cover a wide range of topics, and it really did have enough new info to make it worth a watch if you like the history angle of SK. I'll try to post an updated list of ever killer they cover, but it's surprisingly extensive, and has a few so far that I hadn't even heard of (like Westley Dodd), some that don't get discussed often (Gainesville Ripper, Panzram, Kraft), and the more well-known (BTK, Zodiac, Holmes, EARONS). It's 7 episodes, hour long each. It seems like it was a 2019 release, but some of the interviews look like they might have been recorded earlier.
Similar to this, (The) Serial Killers from 1994 is also up, and has some really interesting one-on-one interviews, with again, slightly less well known SK like Michael B. Ross, Shawcross, Douglas Clark, etc.
