Momentum TW2 left earbud not working

I've charged it, factory reset, unpaired, and cleaned the sensor and charging contacts. The left side had no audio but the controls work. The led turns on but doesn't flash when pairing. Any ideas how to fix them? They've worked for a year with no problem. I bought them in Japan and currently live there. I don't think the 2 year warranty applies in japan.
