Back in 2018 I was out walking around the fence line to the property I rent a apartment at when I saw this beautiful little lady which I promptly named Pebbles. She was a friendly stray who only got accustomed to me. It took some time but she got so comfortable enough to where she could come in and stay during the nights when it was cold out during the winter. She would curl up against me with my two senior boys (14) which finally accepted her as part of the family. When she wanted out she'll meow to let you know. When she returned from her little outings she'll tell you all about it. β€ When I was ever outside and wanted to look for her, all I had to do is call her name and she came running right up to me meowing with the way she moved her tail like "What's up?" She sit right up on my old metal desk next to my front door, and whenever I gave her pets and walk away, she'd reach out with her tiny front bean and grab ahold of my shorts meowing like "Don't walk away, I'm not done with pets" lol. πΎβ€. One day almost two weeks ago now, she came inside like she usually did to eat, drink, hangout a little, then right back outside went missing. I immediately went out looking for her all around where I live and nothing. I even wanted to look in this old boarded up building which had enough space for cats to still get in and out, but the owner told me no. It felt like I failed her for not being there, I just know within my heart that she had passed away and crossed the rainbow bridge, I wasn't able to find her to be there to say goodbye. Love you my sweet Pebbles, fly high and rest in peace. πΏππΎπ
