I don't know how many of you would be aware of this, I haven't seen anything posted. It only seems to be promoted in the UK but is open to anyone. Well, except those in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria, Region of Crimea, and weirdly Quebec.

If you're self-publishing a book to KDP Select before 19^th May simply add StorytellerUK2017 to your keywords to enter.

The Amazon UK Kindle Storyteller Award is open for entries. The Kindle Storyteller Award is a new literary prize recognising newly published work in the English language across any genre and includes a £20,000 prize.

The prize is open to all authors around the world who publish their book through Kindle Direct Publishing on Amazon.co.uk between 20th February and 19th May 2017.

The Kindle Storyteller prize is open to submissions of new English Language books from all authors and genres. Titles must be previously unpublished, a minimum of 5,000 words with no upper word limit and be available as an eBook and in print.

The prize will be announced at a central London ceremony in July, with the winning author being rewarded with a cash prize of £20,000 and a marketing campaign to support the book on Amazon.co.uk, as well as the opportunity to have their book translated for international sales.

All Entries must be received by 23:59 (BST) on 19th May 2017. Limit one Entry per person and KDP account.

It can't hurt if you're publishing a book in that period anyway, and it might encourage some of you to dust off an unfinished manuscript and get it finished. Five and a half weeks is more than enough time ;)
