Want to preface this by saying, that social media isn't my main priority but it is something I want to start taking steps to organically build.

I'm not too savvy with Instagram or TikTok. Twitter (or X) I'm more familiar with.

I read and hear people say there are groups on Instagram and TikTok focused on books, even down to the book niches. Is it a matter of searching hashtags? How does that work?

How do I find the common and most viewed "groups"? Is there a list somewhere? I'd like to see how other indie authors utilize their accounts with these groups. And analyze what's effective and what isn't. If it is as simple as searching hashtags, what are the most common ones?

Or do you view them a different way? I'm pretty clueless with this stuff.
